We have plenty of opportunities for you to donate to the Athens Nurses Clinic. General donations are accepted at all times.
If you would like to donate to a specific cause, check out what we have going on:
Education Station
At the clinic, not only do we provide our patients with quality health care, we educate our patients on how to manage their health in their daily lives. Education Station is our program that provides patients with educational materials such as pamphlets, worksheets, and booklets to help them learn more about how to live with their condition or disease. In addition, it provides educational materials on how to live a healthy lifestyle to avoid preventable diseases.
Donations to Education Station would be put towards educational materials. If you would like to donate to this, please email Paige Cummings at paige@athensnursesclinic.org and mention “Education Station” in the subject line.
Healthy Communities, Healthy Life
Healthy Communities, Healthy Life is a grant from the Centers for Disease Control. The grant allows the clinic to host interactive educational programs to help patients avoid preventable chronic diseases. The programs are designed to help patients in three aspects of healthy living: exercise, diet, and exposure to tobacco (and second-hand smoke).
The clinic needs donations to supplement the incentives given to patients to actively participate in this program. If you would like to donate to this, please email Paige Cummings at paige@athensnursesclinic.org and mention “Healthy Communities, Healthy Life” in the subject line.
OH NO – WE ARE RUNNING LOW ON HYGIENE KITS!
In addition to providing quality healthcare, one of the Clinic’s priorities is making sure our patients have the supplies they need to maintain good hygiene. We usually create hygiene kits ourselves, or other organizations donate hygiene kits to us.
Items included in hygiene kits are:
Washcloths
Soap
Toothbrush
Toothpaste
Socks
Deodorant
Shampoo
Razors
Lotion
With the fall and winter rolling in, it is very important that we distribute hygiene kits to as many patients as possible. While we work to continue putting hygiene kits together, we would love your help in adding to the numbers.
If you are interested in donating or creating hygiene kits for us, please contact Erin Sheehanat volunteers.anc@gmail.com
We invite you to join our effort in healing those in need by giving to our cause. Every dollar you give helps someone in Athens receive adequate healthcare, which otherwise would be unavailable. We thank you for your gift and your compassion for those in need. Email Paige Cummings at paige@athensnursesclinic.org for information about giving.
